Sam, First off, I did see Mila Kunis. And hats off! You're a huge Mike Judge fan, and as you know, I haven't seen Office Space. I did, however, see Idiocracy, and wasn't a big fan (the premise was gold, but it mostly fell flat in execution). did you see that? If so, what were your thoughts? This is me creating a tangent because our views on the movie are seemingly so similar...-Jordan
Jordan, Looks like you revelled a bit less in the stupididy than I but looks as though we basically agreed. Bateman carried it and Affleck was there to same some rediculous shit, sounds fun to me. Totally agree with you on the point about Kristen Wiig, she did a good job but anyone probably could have played that part, why get someone so funny for not a funny part. Oh and did you SEE Mila Kunis, my god.
I reveled in the stupidity on the same level as you, I think, its just that I had to roll my eyes when Jason Bateman stopped for a beat to point out clearly for the audiences benefit that this was a crazy plan before jumping right into it. Very funny, but didn't really fit any conception of a character ,which I thought was important to point out.-Jordan
P.S. I TOTALLY saw Mila Kunis. Unfortunately pretty soon this discussion will just be reduced to us oggling and drooling...
Jordan, I have seen Idiocracy and I totally agree in that it was a fantastic premise that just turned out straight up shitty. Part of that I think is due to the cast which didn't really work and some of it was Judge as the script just grew weaker and weaker after a pretty fucking brilliant start. We've got to get some Office Space in you, it's got John C McGinley for christs sakes!!
